This Production Sharing Contracts course in Brazil provides four days of expert-led training on the legal and fiscal frameworks governing Brazilian PSCs. The programme focuses particularly on the pre-salt sector and its distinctive regulatory environment.
Participants will also explore Brazil’s constitutional foundations and institutional structure. In particular, the course examines the key roles of National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Petrobras, and Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA) in managing production sharing arrangements.
Furthermore, the training explains how government take mechanisms operate within Brazilian PSCs. Topics include cost recovery, profit-oil sharing, royalty regimes, and the taxation framework applied to upstream oil and gas projects.
As a result, participants will learn how to balance legal compliance with financial performance across all PSC disciplines. The programme is designed for energy professionals, legal and fiscal specialists, and industry managers.
Ultimately, the course provides the practical and strategic knowledge required to navigate Brazil’s evolving oil and gas sector.
